Namasté Laboratories, the makers of Organic Root Stimulator® products, was formed in 1996 to address the needs of the health-conscious, multi-cultural consumer. It was founded by Gary Gardner, a seasoned veteran of the personal care products industry.
The word Namasté stems from the Hindu greeting meaning "bowing to the divinity within," which we have interpreted as, "serving and honoring the beauty within".
Namasté is committed to developing products that combine the best of science and nature to promote healthy hair and scalp. A licensed cosmetologist who has over 20 years of professional experience in the field of hair braiding and natural hair care, Taliah Waajid is also the manufacturer of the first complete natural hair care line. Through her years of experience and with a help of a chemist TALIAH WAAJID Black Earth Products were devoloped. The Black Earth Product line is a moisture-based line that focuses on providing maximum conditioning and moisture to hair.

Taliah Waajid is highly involved in education. She offers workshops and seminars that teach stylist to braid and create natural hairstyles using her trademark techniques. Taliah includes hair maintenance and product knowledge in her educational seminars and workshops. Advertisement in trade magazines and the word of mouth from satisfied students help promote her seminars and workshops. Taliah Waajid also offers education through her video collection, which is the next best thing to actual hands-on training. The uniqueness of her video collection is that Taliah concentrates on teaching the technique, not just showing and talking about the technique.

Following major negotiations with Henan Rebecca Hair Products Inc, China. One of the world's largest manufacturers and distributors of human and synthetic hair products. Sleek is proud to announce the formation of Noble Sleek, a new joint venture company owned by both Sleek and Henan that will formally trade from 1st May 2004. This large joint investment will entail the separation of Sleek's current hair and cosmetic businesses allowing for strong focus on these separate but complimentary activities and will bring greater service, selection and value to all of our customers.
